A 500-year-old coaching house, steeped in history, located in the heart of Colchester, England's oldest recorded town. Please note the hotel does not have a lift or any rooms on the ground floor.

Home to a distinctive, lively brasserie restaurant boasting good quality English and European dishes. Choose from a fine à la carte menu or excellent value table d'hôte menu. The George also hosts a popular Lounge Bar area serving food and drink throughout the day in spacious surroundings, making it the ideal place to relax and take a break from the bustling town centre. We have forty-seven beautiful, individually decorated, spacious, bedrooms equipped to a high standard. The ideal base for business and leisure guests alike.
